Saraswati is a 12-year-old from Hyderabad, India. She was born with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome. She had been having regular seizures and was deprived of having a normal childhood. She never spoke even though her family did all sorts of therapies.
Her father once read about Stem Cell Care India in a regional medical journal. With little to lose, they approached the clinic for advice. The clinic then customized a full-fledged stem cell therapy program for Saraswati.
Three months into medication, Saraswati’s seizures diminished to a very large extent. The speech therapists have remarked on Saraswati’s improving attentiveness in the sessions. Saraswati’s father said that was nothing short of a miracle.
Saraswati’s family is now pushing for more awareness of stem cell therapy in India. As her father said, “This was our breakthrough.” Her story testifies to the promise of contemporary medicine and the hope it offers families dealing with LGS
