The 32-year-old Mawra was a graphic designer in Singapore, and colours and creativity went about her life. Everything shattered in her life as her eyes started deteriorating, and all the pictures seemed blurred. Following a visit to the doctor, it was confirmed that she suffered from toxic optic neuropathy, which is induced by extended exposure to toxins.
Refusing to accept the dire prognosis, Mawra’s mother did a ton of research online. She read articles and research blogs and eventually discovered Stem Cell Care India, a reputable supplier of regenerative treatments. Despite her initial skepticism, she made the brave decision to travel to India for the surgery.
She received wonderful care from the people in India as they walked her through it all. Within a few weeks after the surgery, Mei Ling’s vision began to improve. She was soon designing again and living life once more.
Her work now displays the joy that has been regained over her having sight again. “Coming to India for stem cell therapy was the best decision I ever made,” she adds.
