    CHIEF COMPLAINT:

    Diminution in visual acuity

    PRESENTING ILLNESS:

    A 69-year-old male patient, with a history of progressive diminution of vision for the past 4 years. Started in both eyes simultaneously. He is able to see very close to both eyes for past 2 years. He has consulted multiple ophthalmic surgeons for the same. Medical management / conservative treatment is going on in Switzerland. The patient, his friends, and their daughters wish to undergo stem cell therapy for his problem.

    PAST MEDICAL HISTORY:

    known diabetic for 10 years. on medications.

    FAMILY HISTORY:

    Positive on the paternal side.

    PLAN OF ACTION:

    Stem cell therapy

    OPERATION UNDER TAKEN / PROCEDURE:

    Stem cells were infused through Retrobulbar, Intravenous, and Intramuscular routes.

    IN THE COURSE OF HOSPITAL AND COMPLICATION IF ANY:

    The patient was clinically examined and thoroughly investigated and informed written consent taken. He was taken to OT for a stem cell procedure. The patient was given I/v fluid and other supportive medication during the hospital stay. Dietary Consultation, Occupational Therapy & amp; Psychologist Consultation were during the course of stay in the hospital. Post-procedure was uneventful (no headache, vomiting, or ocular pain ). At the time of discharge, he is clinically stable.
