CHIEF COMPLAINT:
C/o Loss of vision in both eyes due to MDR TB since 2022. C/o blurred vision with light sensitivity in the right eye and left eye with no vision. Loss of vision is associated with anti-TB drug toxicity. She has only hand movements vision in both eyes. Her side vision in both eyes is good, but central vision is absent. She has developed Nystagmus and squint in both eyes.
PRESENTING ILLNESS:
An 18-year-old female presented with a history of the dimness of vision since 2022 medicinal treatment is going on. She was diagnosed as MDR TB in 2022 and it was managed by the conventional line of treatment under hospitalization. Later in 2023, MDR TB report came back negative, after completion of her MDR TB Rx protocol of 20 months at KGMU, Lucknow. Dimness in both eyes started progressing and went to an Ophthalmologist for the same complaints. Now the patient along with her parents has come for her ONA treatment by experimental stem cell therapy. She and her parents have been explained about the status of stem cell therapy in India about its experimental nature & they all have agreed voluntarily to undergo this experimental stem cell therapy.
Written informed consent was taken and the same has been explained in their understandable language by treating stem cell therapy consultant and ophthalmologist.
PAST MEDICAL HISTORY:
No h/o hereditary eye problem in the family from both maternal and paternal sides. Now No new medications are going on for the same, except some homeopathic medicines.

Stem Cell therapy
Bilateral Retro Bulbar injection of Stem Cell + Exosome Growth factors.
MVI injections
OPERATION UNDERTAKEN/PROCEDURE:
1. Stem cells are given through the intravenous route.
2. Bilateral Retro Bulbar injection of Stem Cell + Exosome Growth factors in both eyes.
3. MVI injection
IN THE COURSE OF HOSPITAL AND COMPLICATION IF ANY:
The patient was clinically examined and thoroughly investigated, the physician’s opinion taken, and informed written consent taken. She was taken to OT for a retro-bulbar injection of stem cell procedure. Under ophthalmologist care, she has been administered a retrobulbar injection of cells + Exosomes in both her eyes under LA. Post-procedure was uneventful.
Later by evening, she has been given Stem Cell & Exosomes via the IV route. Post-procedure was uneventful.
On 2nd day, she has been given the injection. MVI, Injection Vit C with other supportive measurements during the hospital stay. At the time of discharge, she is clinically stable.
